Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. Her birth date was August 5th 1956 in Woodland Hills California. She was raised by a mother who was a housewife and a father who worked as a teacher. There are three brothers older than her: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick always enjoyed dancing, singing and putting on show puppets. Her fairytale rise to fame started when she won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6. This led to an inquiry from the talent agent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency and asked her whether she wanted to be in show business. McCormick was offered her first gig as an actress major in the year 1964. McCormick was in a commercial for Mattels' newest doll Baby Pattaburp. The year that followed, she appeared in another television commercial for Chatty Cathy's doll. The following year, McCormick was commissioned by La Jolla Playhouse to play the part of the character It up until It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned to play the oldest daughter in the trio of towheaded girls on The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson, Robert Reed as well as a brand new family. The show ran for 5 seasons. McCormick in her memoir Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published in 2008 McCormick told of how in the fifth season of the TV show she almost lost their virginity to brother Barry Williams. The time was when she was just 16 years old and he was 19. It was a time that would have not had worked out for us, she told me.
